The performance is the result of a 2017 Arts in the Parks & Historic Sites grant. Craig (piano) and Tim Brookshire (drums) will provide percussion instruments and invite young people to play along on some tunes, exploring the jazzy side of blues, boogie woogie and other styles, focusing on music by Indiana musicians. Craig will also talk about the history of the park and about Hoosier composers and musicians. Other performances funded by the grant are at Brown County, Clifty Falls and Spring Mill State Parks and at T. C. Steele State Historic Site. Information about the grant is at http://craigbrenner.com/news. This activity was made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
