The performance, part of the T. C. Steele monthly "Sunday at Home" series, is the result of a 2017 Arts in the Parks & Historic Sites grant. Craig (keyboard & vocal) will perform with members of Craig & The Crawdads - Lori Brenner (vocal & percussion), Gordon Bonham (guitar & vocal), Joe Donnelly (sax), David Murray (bass), and Tim Brookshire (drums). The band will provide percussion instruments and invite young people to play along as they explore the jazzy side of blues, boogie woogie and other styles, focusing on music by Indiana musicians. Craig will also talk about the history of the historic site and about Hoosier composers and musicians. Other performances funded by the grant are at Brown County, Clifty Falls, and Spring Mill State Parks, and at Paynetown at Monroe Lake. Information about the grant is at http://craigbrenner.com/news. This activity was made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
