Craig Brenner & Joe Donnelly at Hoosier Hops & Harvest 2013

Saturday, September 7, 2013 @ 3:20PMSat, Sep 7, 2013 @ 3:20PM

Story Inn, 6404 S. State Road 135, Nashville, IN

The 4th Annual "Hoosier Hops & Harvest" festival includes great regional beers, live music, and local food!  This is an event for real beer aficionados, not another version of that autumnal beer-guzzling experience known as the "Oktoberfest".  We covenant that there will be no chicken dances, and anyone caught wearing Lederhosen will be publicly flogged.  This is a cerevisaphile's dream!

The Hoosier Hops & Harvest is made possible by the action of yeast upon sugar, as well as the marketing acumen of your friends at the Story Inn and World Class Beer, who have undertaken the Sisyphean task of weaning the Hoosier palate from factory beers.  The event is modeled on the Indiana Wine Fair, a cultured bacchanalian enterprise that occurs on the last Saturday of each April.

There will be four levels of entry:

1. General Admission. You’ll be able to indulge in two-ounce tastings of craft beers set up on the field from 1-4 pm. Cost is $20 ($15 before Aug. 15).
2. VIP Beer Tasting. You’ll be able to enjoy the same privileges as General Admission AND will be able to indulge in two-ounce tastings of rare craft brews from our special vendors set up in the Barn from 1-4 pm. Cost is $30 (very limited tickets—so buy early).
3. Designated Drivers. Come enjoy the great food and live music, BUT NO BEER.  Cost is $10.
4. Concert Admission. Forego tastings, come for great beer by the glass, and enjoy food and music! We’ll open the taps for $3/glass from 1-8 pm.
